With a screenplay in the hopper, I was encouraged to look into local acting gigs, simply to get more experience. Ultimately, my experience on tv and speaking in front of groups led to a chance of a lifetime; a role in a feature film. In April of 2026, I took the role of Craig in Anna Cobb's Sunny Side Up, due out in January. The role was much bigger than I bargained for but turned out to be an incredible experience. In July of 2023, I was contacted by the owner of a new writing studio in California. Anticipating the impending writer's strike, she was seeking out alternative projects to work on to keep things afloat during the shutdown. She wanted to know if I had considered turning my coaching career into a television show. I actually had for quite some time, after being nicknamed "The White Shadow" by my hometown newspaper years earlier. Hence, this project had life breathed into it and is now ready to be picked up as a 5-Season show. A full pilot script and pitch deck are fully available. As a deal looked to be imminent but months off, I was encouraged to put together any other projects I had been thinking about. It took no time at all to know what to work on next; The Rube. Slated as part of a series to be called Erratic, The Rube would be the 1st season of a show in the stylings of Monster, portraying a notably erratic biopic of our country's most notoriously odd athletes. The Rube focuses on Rube Waddell, quite possibly the strangest man to ever play pro sports. I spent a full calendar year in exhaustive research and compiled a viable 18 episode, 2-part series that does justice to his most remarkable life. A pilot script and pitch deck are available. I've spent the better part of 30 years working in combat sports and high school football. My career has run the gamut from starting high school wrestling programs from scratch in the inner cities of Milwaukee and South Florida, to college wrestling, and finishing in the big leagues of pro sports in the UFC. There, I cornered seven fights and worked with over forty league fighters, including CM Punk.
I was an active coach, overcoming a 3-vertebrae spinal fusion and punctuated my career by making the 2nd oldest debut fight ever and just the 2nd person ever to fight after a fusion. I'm a 2X National Coach of the Year (Sports Illustrated and Wrestling USA Magazine) and was the feature of a PBS documentary entitled "Wrestling City Kids". I carried my career from the small town of Sturgeon Bay and Waukesha's tiny Carroll University quite a ways over the years. My unique path is the source of a screenplay seeking to reboot the White Shadow TV Show, using my career as the plotline.
